As a graduate of UCLA Music School, with a degree in Ethnomusicology he plays 8 instruments including guitar, piano, bass, drums, ukulele, sitar, gamelan, and harmonica.
In 2013, Jonathan Keyes introduced Jason Flom (CEO of Lava Records) to A&R Natalia Romiszewski, which directly resulted in the signing of Lorde to Lava and Republic Records.
Keyes has collaborated on music projects with Meghan Trainor, Bebe Rexha, Julian Bunetta, The Elev3n, Havana Brown, Frequency, Robert Habolin, J.R Rotem, Ian Kirkpatrick, Laura Morano, Betty Who, and others. He has also written songs featured in blockbuster movies such as "22 Jump Street" and "Get Hard".
Keyes is the co-writer of "Perfect Two" one of the most covered viral songs in the history of the internet generating over 500 million collective views on YouTube created by fans of the song.
In January of 2015, Jason Flom (CEO of Lava Records) hired Keyes to do A&R and help Lava with finding new music and bringing in talent.
